Email

I'm receiving a "Relaying Denied" error in my mail client. What's with this?

In order to prevent spam from being relayed through the server this security check has been put in place. Simply receive mail and you will have a 15 minute window to send messages. Hint: configure your client program to check for new messages every 10 minutes and you should never receive this error.

What are the POP/IMAP and SMTP servers for checking and sending email in a client program (MS Outlook Express, Eudora, Netscape Mail)?

The POP/IMAP and SMTP servers are both mail.atomation.com.

Where is web mail located?

Web mail can be found at http://www.sedaredgar.com:1010/webmail/ or at http://www.yourdomain.com:1010/webmail/.

Can I forward my email to another email account?

Yes, simply log into the user management system at http://www.yourdomain.com/personal/, select the Email option, and fill out and submit the form provided.

I often receive an email titled, "DON'T DELETE THIS MESSAGE -- FOLDER INTERNAL DATA;" what does this mean?

This message is created whenever you use the IMAP protocol or manage your mail via web mail. Simply delete and ignore it.

I have recieved an email with {VIRUS?} in the subject line. What does this mean?

This means that the mail system has detected a virus and quarantined the message and any attachments. If you wish to retrieve the quarantined message, please give us a call.

I have received an email with {SPAM?} in the subject line. What does this mean?

This means that the mail system has deemed the message as spam and marked it as such. You can use a mail rule to automatically move messages with the string {SPAM?} in the subject line to the trash or deleted items folder.

Web Publishing

How do I publish web pages on my account?

Please read the appropriate section in the quick start guide.

I'm receiving permission errors when trying to delete certain files in user folders. What's causing this?

This is probably because someone with site administrator privileges published a file to the web folder of another site user. To rectify the problem, log in using the site administrator username/password and delete the files. To avoid the problem, ensure site administrators only publish pages in their own person folders or the root web folder. Read the section on publishing in the quick start guide.

The files I published on the server are seemingly not there. What's wrong?

Make sure you have published the pages to the root web folder and not the web folder of a site user. Read the section on publishing in the quick start guide.
